So we gave her a forest.
Jharkhand — literally "the land of forests". Home — and where Maa's kitchen is.

For decades, the thekua for the ghaat was hers — pressed by hand, fried slow in ghee, packed while the house was still dark.
The dabbas kept coming back empty
Neighbours would return the dabba — and somehow it was always time to fill it again.
Then the phone calls started
Relatives in Delhi and Bengaluru, asking for couriers. "थोड़ा और, बस।" It was never just one packet.
So we put her name on it
We didn't touch the recipe. We gave it better packing, a way to reach any PIN code in India — and her name on the front.
